Where We Come From
FrontierPeak was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia by a small team of designers and engineers who shared a fascination with the deep ocean. The creatures that live below 1,000 metres — anglerfish hunting by the light of their own bodies, jellyfish that drift like living lanterns, seahorses curled around ancient anchors — seemed to us like the ideal inspiration for a social game.
We wanted to create something that captured the genuine wonder of deep-sea exploration without the financial stakes that most interactive entertainment brings along. The result is FrontierPeak: a bioluminescent, free-to-experience platform for adults who want the thrill of the abyss without any of the risk.
Our Philosophy
We believe entertainment should be truly free. Not "free with microtransactions" or "free to start but expensive to continue" — genuinely, completely free. FrontierPeak has no in-app purchases, no premium currency, no battle pass and no advertising. We don't monetise this platform. It exists because we wanted it to exist, and because we believe the deep sea deserves to be celebrated.
We also believe that responsible design is not an afterthought. The visual format of FrontierPeak intentionally resembles the aesthetics of real-money interactive entertainment — because that format is familiar, engaging and relaxing. But the similarity is purely cosmetic. No money moves. No value is at stake. We document this clearly on every page and include help resources for anyone who notices compulsive play patterns in themselves.
The Free Play Chain — A Design Story
The mechanic at the heart of FrontierPeak — the Free Play Chain — emerged from a question: what if the depth of the ocean were the metaphor for a streak? Every winning free dive takes you deeper. The chain grows as long as each dive yields something. The moment a dive returns nothing, you surface. It is a beautiful loop, and watching a long chain unwind while the glowing creatures tumble across the grid is exactly the experience we set out to build.
The Jellyfish Scatter was a deliberate choice: jellyfish are among the most bioluminescent creatures in the real ocean, they drift in swarms called "smacks", and their appearance signals abundance. Triggering three or more of them to start the chain felt right — evocative and true to the biology.
Our Team — A Founders' Note
"We made FrontierPeak because we kept asking: what would a deep-ocean game look like if every decision prioritised wonder over monetisation? This is our answer. We hope you enjoy the dive."

What We Believe About Responsible Play
The visual format we use — playing grids, symbols, chain mechanics — is inherited from real-money interactive entertainment, and we take seriously the responsibility that comes with that. We know that some people who enjoy this kind of entertainment are also navigating complicated relationships with risk and reward. That is why we have a full Play Safely page, link to four separate support organisations in our footer, and maintain an age gate on every session.
If anything we've built contributes to compulsive behaviour, we want to hear about it and change it. Our contact address is always open: [email protected]
